A Jackpocket online casino is closer to becoming a reality in New Jersey, thanks to state gaming regulators approving the internet lottery service’s expansion into the Garden State.
The Division of Gaming Enforcement approved two joint petitions for online gambling in New Jersey from Jackpocket and its registered gaming partners in NJ, Caesars Interactive Entertainment, and Harrah’s Atlantic City. However, it is unclear when we might expect to come across a Jackpocket online casino.

The Jackpocket NJ Online Casino has been Approved, but there is No Set Date for its Start
The parties received regulatory authority earlier this year to negotiate an access deal. DGE statements at the time, however, hinted that a Jackpocket NJ online casino was still a long way off.
The petition approvals on October 2 could indicate that a product launch is getting closer, but no timeline has been provided. For nearly two years, Jackpocket, one of two permitted third-party NJ lottery ticket courier firms, has been working on an online casino.
Could Jackpocket also Be Interested in Sports Betting?
Internet lottery services in New Jersey, unlike online casinos or NJ online sportsbooks, are not certified by a state regulatory agency; instead, they are approved by the NJ Lottery. Obtaining regulatory approval to collaborate with a licensed gambling provider in New Jersey to provide online casino games or mobile sports betting is a much more significant hurdle to overcome.
Caesars Interactive, Harrah’s AC, and Jackpocket have agreed to open an online casino in New Jersey in 2021. Jackpocket and White Hat Gaming settled on terms for in-app payment processing services earlier this year.
Jackpocket, which now provides lottery transport services in 15 states and the District of Columbia, has laid the basis for a successful NJ online casino launch. Given the following list of agreements Jackpocket has formed in the last 18 months, online sports betting could be in the works as well:
